Hi Val, I agree with you. The concept that same sex marriage is somehow detrimental is completely illogical and frankly mean! If everybody who is concerned about this actually sat down, put their ingrained prejudices aside and really thought the matter over, they would see that there is nothing to fear. Marriage as an institution will not change, heterosexual marriages will not somehow become sullied. If people disagree on religious grounds, then by their own admission, is it not up to their God to decide what is right or wrong?
