Bikes, brocantes, Bastille Day

Next week marks one of the main event weeks in our area. The 14/15 July at Cordes sur Ciel sees the annual medieval hi jinks. Any one going in period costume will be admitted free - provided they have found a parking place.
The details are at www.grandfauconnier.com

Wednesday 13 July sees the passage of the Tour de France in our region. The stage is from Blaye les Mines (near Carmaux) to Lavaur, via Cordes and Vaour. The Tour is certainly worth seeing at least once, so those with camping cars or homes along the route could be in demand next week.
Details of the route are on the official tour site, accessible from the link below.

14th July sees the first big brocante at Najac. This is always very busy with lots of stalls. Such a beautiful setting to stroll, look for a bargain - but if you want lunch be sure to book a restaurant.

If your village is having Bastille Day celebrations please let us know and we will post them here.
