For the fifth time the French handball team has carried off the World Championship. Held in Qatar Les Bleues won all their group matches and defeated the hosts in the final yesterday.
On the local front, Stade Toulousain defeated Castres in a top 14 match which pushed the Tarn club nearer to relegation. Stade are also struggling to make the top 6 plat off having been surprisingly eliminated from the European Cup. With the round ball TFC won for the first time in 8 games, easing their relegation worries. South west sport is struggling a bit at present, but can be comforted by 4 local players in the handball team.
