The clean up begins as some of the rivers recede back into their beds. In Varen as in other local villagers the Sapeurs pompiers are out doing a clean up of mud. A lot of these guys are unpaid and work to help us all. The Moulin was surrounded by water but it did not enter the building and new building works including a newly constructed kitchen were not affected we are told.
The roads round about are still very muddy.
