During the night of Thursday/Friday four pleasure boats moored at Cahors were completely burned. Three of the craft were privately owned, the fourth belonging to a cruise company. The river Lot is the most developed cruising water locally (except the Canal du Midi), still having working locks.
Having owned a river cruiser in England we can attest how relaxing it can be, but fire is as great a risk on a boat as in the open fields at the moment.
