What weather we had

We received numerous emails (and telephone calls) yesterday to tell us what weather was being predicted by their particular brand of forecast. Microsoft; Yahoo; TF1; France Meteo etc. It seems that most were saying that the rain would be bad during the early afternoon and dry by 6pm. And the ability to forecast 12 hours in advance was shown to be in abundant evidence.
Since all the forecasts must be based on meteorological data (except the seaweed types) it is down to interpretation after that, usually based on historic data: ie very hot weather can often trigger storms.
Two young Tarn and Garonne students has set up a Facebook page called Meteo82, which already has over 750 friends. Morgan Nietto and friend Pierre Besnard have semi-professional measuring equipment so their data are more accurate than the little "meteo stations" many of us have.
We predict a bright future for the enterprising 18 year olds.
