Nous sommes les fatigués mais heureux de Mas del Sol

It is Thursday the 23rd, and we are tired but happy. Our Jazz event picnicing if not in the donkey field certainly very close. Sounds much better "Picnic in the Park" to "Picnic in the donkey field."
After a day of following the meteo we decided to trust it and as last year the sun ended up shining on Mas del Sol and over a hundred paying  guests and children.
The conviviality was lovely, the music was superb, Gill Catterall supplied the food for all the band and us which was one thing less for us to think about. Thanks Gill.
John Taylor was invited to join the band on certain numbers and as I watched I thought this is perfect for John, he needs his own band. Thanks John
So saying the bands own singer was very good and there was some discussion, (you know who you are)
who said " I go weak at the knees when he sings in French"
At the end Deddy, clarinet player, who follows TAG, said " Thank you for inviting us to " TAGLAND"
Once again the first on the "dance grass" were Jean and Rob, and they set off many others dancing in front of the band and others at the back. The temperature was just right till the sun set, candles and candelbra illuminated the scene along with storm lights we had put out.
I think everyone enjoyed it, we certainly did. I  heard Malc at the end saying to Winnie Nosal he was " rechauffé  par la biere" and I had wondered why he was wandering around without his shoes!! He had suffered with cramp he explained this morning !!
We took an amazing 1,630 euros,( and going up as Jean Marie receives donations from people who could not come)  which goes a good way to helping build that school in Bamako.
Photos of the event later
