We have lost an eagle owl ?
Having just read the story of the eagle owl and the vet at Laguepie, some neighbours who have a rocky cliff down to the road below, phoned to say they may be missing a baby Grand Duc. They thought the owl nesting in their grounds had two chicks but one seems to have disappeared. The bird taken to the vets by a concerned passer by is now with the regional member of the LPO, being fed ready for release into the wild again. The poor thing was never in trouble but newly fledged and just learning to fly. I hope that the owl can be released in to the area it was taken from.
